Hytrel® TPC-ET 8238
Hytrel TPC-ET 8238 is a high-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 82D, making it the stiffest grade in the Hytrel portfolio. It offers exceptional toughness, high impact strength and outstanding resistance to creep, tearing and flex fatigue. The material maintains flexibility at low temperatures and provides strong retention of mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. Hytrel TPC-ET 8238 contains a non-discoloring stabilizer and provides good resistance to many industrial chemicals, oils and solvents. It can be processed using conventional thermoplastic techniques including injection molding and extrusion.
Key Features:
- Highest modulus Hytrel grade (82D)
- Exceptional toughness and high impact resistance
- Excellent resistance to creep, tearing and flex fatigue
- Good chemical resistance to oils, fuels and industrial chemicals
- Non-discoloring stabilizer for improved color stability
- Light-stabilized for durability under light exposure
- Plasticizer-free with long-term property retention
