Bjørn Thorsen's Debut at Plastpol 2025: A New Chapter in Europe

Entering a new market often means starting from scratch. That was exactly our position at Plastpol 2025. While new to Poland, Bjørn Thorsen brings with it a legacy of over 60 years of experience in the plastics industry. As a Danish, family-owned distribution company, our core expertise lies in supplying raw materials from leading chemical manufacturers to customers across a wide range of industries.

Rooted in Nordic values and heritage, we are proud to carry that spirit into the next chapter of our journey: expanding our reach across Europe with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and partnership. In January 2025, we were honored to be appointed as a pan-European distributor for Celanese -an important milestone that reinforces our commitment to the European market.

Our presence in Poland has been a meaningful first step in this broader expansion, and we look forward to growing alongside our customers in this dynamic region.

Poland ranks among the leading countries in Europe’s plastics industry - and for good reason. With its central location ideal for logistics, a strong manufacturing base, a steadily growing domestic market, and a skilled, knowledgeable workforce, Poland presents a very good potential.

Recognizing these advantages, Bjørn Thorsen saw a strategic opportunity to strengthen its European presence by participating in Plastpol 2025.

As a newly established TPE distributor in the region, we’re committed to learning the market from the ground up by building meaningful partnerships, understanding local challenges, and offering tailored solutions. Our goal is to become a trusted, long-term partner, delivering not only high-performance TPE materials, but also technical expertise, premium brands, and customized support that meets the specific needs of Polish customers.

Each year, our Elastomers Team develops creative stand themes that reflect the core of our business. For 2025, the concept was inspired by four iconic films, each serving as the basis for a unique cinematic theme showcased at our stand.

Visitors at Plastpol were invited to walk through and explore each of the four storylines, immersing themselves in the creative narrative behind every concept. The aim was to present, in an engaging and original way, our dedication to innovation, our strong focus on thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), and our ongoing commitment to customer collaboration.

The storyline featured a broad selection of TPEs, including Santoprene® TPV, Estane® TPU, and Hytrel® TPC, supported by printed brochures in Polish that detailed each cinematic theme. This experience gave attendees the opportunity to discover the full scope of our TPE offering and better understand the value and performance behind our qualitative brands.
