Hytrel® TPC-ET 3078 ECO-B 752
Hytrel TPC-ET 3078 ECO-B 752 is a very low-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 30D. It offers excellent flexibility, high elongation, toughness and superior resistance to flex fatigue, creep and impact. This ECO-B grade is partially produced using bio-feedstock derived from waste according to the ISCC Plus mass balance approach, reducing lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions and fossil resource use. Hytrel TPC-ET 3078 ECO-B 752 contains a non-discoloring stabilizer and matches the performance and processing behavior of standard Hytrel 3078. It can be processed using standard thermoplastic techniques including injection molding and extrusion.
Key Features:
- Very low modulus with extreme flexibility
- High tensile strength and elongation (up to 900%)
- Excellent toughness and flex fatigue resistance
- Non-discoloring stabilizer for improved color stability
- Plasticizer-free with wide temperature performance range
- Partially bio-based (ECO-B) using ISCC Plus certified mass balance
Processing Form:
- Injection Molding
- Film Extrusion
- Extrusion
- Sheet Extrusion
- Thermoforming
Processing Notes:
Desiccant drying at 80°C for 2–3 hours is recommended to achieve a moisture content below 0.08%. Hytrel TPC-ET 3078 ECO-B 752 has an optimal melt temperature of 205°C and a mold temperature of 30°C. For extrusion, dry at 70–90°C for 2–3 hours with a target moisture content below 0.06%. Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Please also refer to the injection molding and extrusion guidelines.
