Hytrel® TPC-ET 3078 BK176
Hytrel TPC-ET 3078 BK176 is a very low-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 30D. It offers exceptional flexibility, high elongation and excellent toughness, along with strong resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue. The grade maintains flexibility at low temperatures and provides reliable mechanical stability at elevated temperatures. Hytrel TPC-ET 3078 BK176 is a black, light-stabilized grade containing a black pigment concentrate and can be processed using conventional thermoplastic techniques including injection molding and extrusion.

Processing Notes:
Drying is recommended at 80°C for 2–3 hours to reach a processing moisture content ≤0.08%. Hytrel TPC-ET 3078 BK176 has an optimal melt temperature of 205°C (range 190–210°C) and a mold temperature of 30–40°C. For extrusion, drying at 70–90°C for 2–3 hours with moisture ≤0.06% is recommended, with an optimal melt temperature of 200°C. Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC.
