Opti-Pren™ TPV 6816-80A

Opti-Pren TPV 6816-80A is a soft, colorable specialty thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) with higher tensile strength, tear resistance and superior abrasion resistance compared to standard 80A TPVs. It is also formulated to avoid oil exudation over time. This grade is polyolefin-based, completely recyclable and can be processed on conventional thermoplastics equipment.

Processing Notes:
Drying for 2–3 hours at 80°C is recommended to improve line speed and surface finish. Typical extrusion temperatures range from 175–190°C, while injection molding requires 190–210°C depending on the zone. This grade is incompatible with acetal and PVC; equipment previously used with these materials must be thoroughly purged prior to running.
