Hytrel® TPC-ET G4774

Hytrel TPC-ET G4774 is a medium-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 47D. It offers excellent toughness, resilience and flexibility at low temperatures, combined with strong retention of mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. The material provides outstanding resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue. Hytrel TPC-ET G4774 contains a discoloring stabilizer, making it unsuitable for light-colored finished parts. It can be processed using conventional thermoplastic techniques such as injection molding and extrusion.

Key Features:

  • Medium modulus with balanced flexibility
  • Excellent toughness and impact strength
  • Outstanding resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue
  • Good chemical resistance to oils, fuels and industrial chemicals
  • Contains discoloring stabilizer (not suited for light-colored parts)
  • Light-stabilized grade for enhanced durability under light exposure
  • Plasticizer-free with long-term property retention

Processing Form:

  • Injection Molding
  • Film Extrusion
  • Extrusion
  • Sheet Extrusion
  • Other Extrusion
  • Casting
  • Thermoforming

Processing Notes:
Drying is recommended at 100°C for 2–3 hours to achieve a processing moisture content ≤0.08%. Hytrel TPC-ET G4774 has an optimal melt temperature of 240°C and a mold temperature of 45°C. For extrusion, drying at 100°C for 2–3 hours with a moisture content ≤0.06% is recommended, with an optimal melt temperature range of 225–240°C. Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Please refer to the molding and extrusion guidelines for detailed recommendations.
