Hytrel® TPC-ET SC956 NC010

Hytrel TPC-ET SC956 NC010 is a medium-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 55D. Designed for healthcare-related applications, this SC grade is manufactured according to GMP principles and tested against ISO 10993-5, ISO 10993-11 and selected parts of USP Class VI. The material provides excellent toughness, resilience and flexibility at low temperatures while maintaining strong mechanical performance at elevated temperatures. It demonstrates outstanding resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue and offers good chemical resistance to oils, solvents and many industrial fluids. Hytrel TPC-ET SC956 NC010 contains a non-discoloring stabilizer for enhanced color stability and can be processed using conventional thermoplastic techniques including injection molding, extrusion and forming operations.

Processing Notes:
Drying is recommended at 100°C for 2–3 hours to achieve a processing moisture content ≤0.08%. Hytrel TPC-ET SC956 NC010 has an optimal melt temperature of 230°C (min. 220°C, max. 250°C) and an optimal mold temperature of 45–55°C. For extrusion, dry at 90–110°C for 2–3 hours to achieve ≤0.06% moisture, and process at a melt temperature of 225°C (range 220–235°C). Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Please refer to the molding and extrusion guidelines for detailed recommendations.
