Hytrel® TPC-ET HTR8936 BK320

Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8936 BK320 is a high-viscosity, medium-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 50D. This black grade is heat- and UV-stabilized and designed specifically for blow molding applications requiring strong melt strength and superior durability. The material provides excellent toughness, resilience and flexibility at low temperatures, while retaining mechanical performance at elevated temperatures. Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8936 BK320 demonstrates outstanding resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue, combined with exceptional tear strength and chemical resistance to oils, fuels, solvents and water. It also provides superior acidity resistance and heat-aging stability.

Key Features:

  • High-viscosity blow-molding grade (50D)
  • Black, heat- and UV-stabilized formulation
  • Excellent toughness and impact resistance
  • Outstanding creep, tear and flex fatigue resistance
  • Superior acidity and heat-aging resistance
  • Good chemical resistance to oils, fuels, solvents and water
  • Very low brittleness temperature (–70°C)
  • Automotive approved (VW 50123)
  • Plasticizer-free with long-term durability

Processing Form:

  • Injection Molding
  • Extrusion
  • Blow Molding
  • Thermoforming

Processing Notes:
For blow molding, drying is required at 80–90°C for 5–6 hours to achieve a processing moisture ≤0.03%. Optimal melt temperature is 235°C (range 225–240°C) with a mold temperature of 50°C (30–70°C). Injection molding shrinkage: 1.9% (parallel) and 1.8% (normal). Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Please refer to the molding and extrusion guidelines for full processing recommendations.
