Hytrel® TPC-ET HTR8685 BK022A
Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8685 BK022A is a medium-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 44D. This black grade is pigmented with fine-particle carbon black and includes a general-purpose stabilizer. Designed for blow molding and other processing techniques requiring high melt viscosity, the material offers excellent toughness, resilience and flexibility at low temperatures while maintaining strong mechanical performance at elevated temperatures. Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8685 BK022A provides outstanding resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue and offers good resistance to oils, fuels, solvents and many industrial chemicals. It combines reliable melt stability with robust physical performance for demanding extrusion and blow-molding applications.

Processing Notes:
Drying is recommended at 100°C for 3–4 hours to achieve a processing moisture content ≤0.08%.
Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8685 BK022A has an optimal melt temperature of 240°C (range 230–250°C) and an optimal mold temperature of 45°C (40–50°C range).
For blow molding, dry ≤110°C with moisture ≤0.02% and process at a melt temperature around 240°C.
For extrusion, follow high-viscosity processing guidelines as outlined in the Hytrel molding and extrusion manuals.
Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC.
