Hytrel® TPC-ET HTR8441 BK316

Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8441 BK316 is a medium-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 55D (52D at 15s). This black, heat- and light-stabilized grade is designed for blow molding and extrusion applications requiring strong mechanical stability at elevated temperatures. It offers excellent toughness, resilience and flexibility at low temperatures while providing reliable performance under thermal and mechanical stress. Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8441 BK316 demonstrates outstanding resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue and delivers high tear strength, very low brittleness temperature and robust resistance to oils, fuels, solvents and many industrial chemicals.

Processing Notes:
Drying is recommended at 100°C for 2–4 hours to achieve a processing moisture ≤0.08%. Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8441 BK316 has an optimal injection-molding melt temperature of 245°C (240–255°C range) and an optimal mold temperature of 45°C (40–55°C). For extrusion, dry at 110°C for 2–3 hours to reach ≤0.06% moisture and process at a melt temperature of 225–240°C. For blow molding, dry at 90–100°C for 4–6 hours until moisture ≤0.03%, and process at a melt temperature of 240°C (230–240°C range). Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Please refer to molding and extrusion guidelines for detailed recommendations.
