Hytrel® TPC-ET HTR8997 NC010

Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8997 NC010 is a medium-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 45D. This natural-colored grade contains a non-discoloring stabilizer and provides excellent melt stability for injection molding, film extrusion and general extrusion. The material offers exceptional toughness, resilience and flexibility at low temperatures while maintaining strong mechanical performance at elevated temperatures. Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8997 NC010 demonstrates outstanding resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue and provides good resistance to oils, fuels, solvents and a broad range of industrial chemicals. It is fully plasticizer-free and retains long-term durability under demanding conditions.

Key Features:

  • Medium-modulus grade (45D)
  • Natural-colored NC010 formulation with non-discoloring stabilizer
  • Excellent melt stability for injection molding and extrusion
  • Outstanding toughness and low-temperature flexibility
  • Strong resistance to creep, tear, impact and flex fatigue
  • Good resistance to oils, fuels, solvents and industrial chemicals
  • Heat-stabilized and light-stabilized
  • Plasticizer-free with long-term property retention

Processing Form:

  • Injection Molding
  • Film Extrusion
  • Extrusion
  • Sheet Extrusion

Processing Notes:
For injection molding, dry at 80°C for 2–3 hours to achieve a moisture content ≤0.06%. Optimal melt temperature is 200°C (range 190–220°C) with a mold temperature of 45°C (45–55°C). For extrusion, dry at 90–110°C for 2–3 hours to reach ≤0.06% moisture and process at a melt temperature of 215°C (210–225°C range). Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Refer to standard Hytrel molding and extrusion guidelines for full processing recommendations.
