Hytrel® TPC-ET HTR8724 BK320

Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8724 BK320 is a medium-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 46D (50D max). This black, heat- and light-stabilized grade is a high-viscosity material designed specifically for extrusion and blow molding, including demanding applications such as automotive jounce bumpers. It offers excellent toughness, resilience and flexibility at low temperatures while maintaining strong mechanical performance at elevated temperatures. Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8724 BK320 demonstrates outstanding resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue and provides very high tear strength and abrasion resistance. It also offers good chemical resistance to oils, fuels, solvents and many industrial fluids.

Key Features:

Processing Notes:
Drying is recommended at 100°C for 2–4 hours to achieve a processing moisture content ≤0.08%. Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8724 BK320 has an optimal melt temperature of 235°C (min. 230°C, max. 250°C) and an optimal mold temperature of 45°C (45–55°C range). For extrusion, dry at ≤100°C for 2–3 hours to reach ≤0.06% moisture and process at a melt temperature of 230°C (range 225–235°C). For blow molding, dry at 80–100°C for 4–6 hours with moisture ≤0.02% and process at a melt temperature around 245°C. Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Please refer to the molding and extrusion guidelines for detailed recommendations.
