Hytrel® TPC-ET HTR8068

Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8068 is a medium-modulus, flame-retardant thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 44D. This grade is UL94 V-0 rated at 1.5 mm and includes anti-drip functionality. It offers exceptional toughness, resilience and flexibility at low temperatures while maintaining strong mechanical performance at elevated temperatures. Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8068 demonstrates outstanding resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue and provides good resistance to oils, solvents and many industrial chemicals. The material is light-stabilized and contains flame-retardant additives. It can be processed using conventional thermoplastic techniques including injection molding and extrusion.

Key Features:

  • Flame-retardant grade meeting UL94 V-0 at 1.5 mm

Processing Notes:
Drying is recommended at 100°C for 2–3 hours to achieve a processing moisture content ≤0.08%. Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8068 has an optimal melt temperature of 200°C (min. 190°C, max. 210°C) and an optimal mold temperature of 40°C (range 30–40°C). For extrusion, dry at 80°C for 2–3 hours to achieve ≤0.06% moisture and process at a melt temperature of 185–200°C. Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Please refer to the injection molding and extrusion guidelines for detailed recommendations.
