Hytrel® TPC-ET HTR8895 BK320

Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8895 BK320 is a medium-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 43D (40D at 15s). This black grade is pigmented with fine-particle carbon black and contains a general-purpose stabilizer. Designed for blow molding and other high-viscosity processing methods, it offers excellent toughness, resilience and flexibility at low temperatures while maintaining strong mechanical performance at elevated temperatures. Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8895 BK320 demonstrates outstanding resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue and provides very high tear strength and abrasion resistance. The material additionally offers good resistance to oils, fuels, solvents and many industrial chemicals.

Key Features:

  • Medium-modulus grade (43D)
  • Black formulation with carbon black
  • High melt viscosity for blow molding
  • Excellent toughness and impact resistance
  • Outstanding creep, tear and flex fatigue resistance
  • Good resistance to oils, fuels, solvents and industrial chemicals
  • Heat-stabilized formulation
  • Plasticizer-free with long-term property retention

Processing Form:

  • Blow Molding
  • Extrusion
  • Injection Molding

Processing Notes:
Drying is recommended at 100°C for 3–4 hours to achieve a processing moisture content ≤0.08%. Hytrel TPC-ET HTR8895 BK320 has an optimal melt temperature of 240°C (range 230–250°C) and an optimal mold temperature of 45°C (40–50°C). For blow molding, dry ≤110°C with moisture ≤0.02% and process at ~240°C. For extrusion, process at ~230°C with moisture ≤0.06%. Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Refer to the molding and extrusion guidelines for full recommendations.
