Opti-Pren™ TPV 6816-85A
Opti-Pren™ TPV 6816-85A is a colorable specialty thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) that offers higher temperature and UV resistance, combined with improved tensile strength, tear resistance and superior abrasion resistance compared to standard 85A TPVs. This grade is polyolefin-based, completely recyclable and can be processed on conventional thermoplastics equipment.

Processing Notes:
Drying for 2–3 hours at 80°C is recommended to improve line speed and surface finish. Typical extrusion temperatures range from 185–205°C, while injection molding requires 190–210°C depending on the zone. This grade is incompatible with acetal and PVC; equipment previously used with these materials must be thoroughly purged prior to running.
