Opti-Pren™ TPV 6810-80A
Opti-Pren TPV 6810-80A is a soft, colorable, speciality thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) that shows higher tensile properties, tear strength and superior abrasion resistance compared to a standard TPV at 80 Shore A. It can be processed on conventional thermoplastics equipment, is polyolefin-based and completely recyclable.
Key Features:
- Soft and colorable grade
- High tensile strength and tear resistance
- Superior abrasion resistance
- Polyolefin-based and completely recyclable
- Shore A hardness: 81
Processing Form:
- Injection molding
- Extrusion
- Blow molding
- Thermoforming
- Vacuum forming
Processing Notes:
Desiccant drying for 3 hours at 80°C is recommended before processing. Typical extrusion temperatures range from 160–215°C depending on the zone. Note that this grade is incompatible with acetal and PVC; equipment previously used with these materials must be thoroughly purged prior to running.
Application:
Flexible seals & gaskets, Durable automotive parts, Soft-touch consumer goods, Technical profiles & housings
Hardness:
81A
Delivery Form:
Pellets
