Opti-Flex™ TPO 2323-65A

Opti-Flex TPO 2323-65A is a clear, flexible, polypropylene-based thermoplastic elastomer (TPE-O) from the Opti-Flex TPO 2300 series. It is designed for extrusion but may also be transformed by injection molding when high flexibility, silky touch and clarity are required. The material is suitable for food-contact applications, free of EPR/EPDM, and recyclable within the PP stream.

Key Features:

  • Clear appearance and silky touch
  • Flexible polypropylene-based TPE-O formulation
  • Suitable for extrusion and injection molding applications
  • Food-contact compliant and recyclable in PP stream

Processing Form:

  • Extrusion
  • Injection Molding

Processing Notes:
This grade can be processed on conventional extrusion or injection molding equipment with melt temperatures around 170 °C and no drying required. Purge with PP or PE and use LDPE masterbatch if coloring is desired.

Application:

Food contact applications

Hardness:

66A

Delivery Form:

Pellets

Opti-flex PO is the new generation of TPE-O (thermoplastic elastomers – olefin based) developed by Bjørn Thorsen A/S to offer an alternative to existing TPEs and PVC.

Soft, Flexible, and Recyclable Alternative to TPEs and PVC for High-Performance, Sustainable Applications.

TALK TO OUR EXPERTS

Opti-Flex TPO is Designed with Sustainability in Mind

Recyclability

As a thermoplastic elastomer, TPO can be recycled during and after manufacturing, minimizing waste and contributing to a circular economy. Some Recyclass available guidelines demonstrate suitability of the solution at levels up to 10% in PP.

Lightweight for Energy Savings

As an unfilled thermoplastic elastomer, Opti-Flex TPO has an extremely low specific gravity, allowing significant weight savings vs similar TPEs of same hardness.

Durability

Excellent Tensile & Tear properties combined with good stability allow long product lifespan, thus decreasing the need for replacements, reducing resource use over time.

Eco-Friendly Alternatives

Being primarily based on polyolefins, Opti-Flex TPO exhibits some of the lower carbon footprint among virgin (fossil-based) thermoplastic elastomers of same hardness, as demonstrated by available CO2 footprint values calculated specifically.
