Hytrel® TPC-ET 6356 BK203

Hytrel TPC-ET 6356 BK203 is a medium-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 63D. This black, UV-stabilized grade offers excellent toughness, resilience and high impact strength. It delivers outstanding resistance to creep, tearing and flex fatigue, while maintaining flexibility at low temperatures and strong mechanical performance at elevated temperatures. Hytrel TPC-ET 6356 BK203 provides good resistance to oils, fuels, solvents and many industrial chemicals. It can be processed using conventional thermoplastic techniques including injection molding and extrusion.

Processing Notes:
Drying is recommended at 100°C for 2–3 hours to achieve a processing moisture content ≤0.08%. Hytrel TPC-ET 6356 BK203 has an optimal melt temperature of 240°C (min. 235°C, max. 260°C) and an optimal mold temperature of 45°C (max. 55°C). For extrusion, drying at 90–110°C for 2–3 hours with moisture ≤0.06% is recommended, with an optimal melt temperature range of 225–240°C. Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC.
