Hytrel® TPC-ET 4068 ECO-B 652

Hytrel TPC-ET 4068 ECO-B 652 is a low-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 40D. It provides the same performance and processing characteristics as standard Hytrel 4068 but is partially produced using bio-feedstock derived from waste, according to the ISCC Plus certified mass balance approach. This results in reduced lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions and lower fossil resource use. The material offers excellent toughness, resilience, impact strength, and resistance to creep, flex fatigue and tearing. Hytrel TPC-ET 4068 ECO-B 652 contains a non-discoloring stabilizer and provides good resistance to oils, solvents and many industrial chemicals.

Key Features:

  • Low modulus with excellent flexibility
  • Exceptional toughness and impact strength
  • Outstanding resistance to creep and flex fatigue
  • Good chemical resistance to oils and industrial fluids
  • Non-discoloring stabilizer for improved color stability
  • Partially bio-based (ECO-B) using ISCC Plus mass balance method
  • Plasticizer-free with long-term property retention

Processing Form:

  • Injection Molding
  • Film Extrusion
  • Extrusion
  • Sheet Extrusion
  • Thermoforming
  • Casting

Processing Notes:
Drying is recommended at 100°C for 2–3 hours to reach a processing moisture content below 0.08%. Hytrel TPC-ET 4068 ECO-B 652 has an optimal melt temperature of 225°C and a mold temperature of 40°C. For extrusion, drying at 90–110°C for 2–3 hours to achieve a moisture content below 0.06% is recommended, with an optimal melt temperature of 215°C. Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Please also refer to the injection molding and extrusion guidelines.
