Hytrel® TPC-ET G4074

Hytrel TPC-ET G4074 is a low-modulus thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC-ET) with a nominal hardness of 40D. It delivers excellent toughness, resilience, flexibility at low temperatures and strong retention of mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. The grade shows outstanding resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue and contains a discoloring stabilizer, making it unsuitable for light-colored finished products. Hytrel TPC-ET G4074 can be processed using conventional thermoplastic techniques such as injection molding and extrusion.

Key Features:

  • Low modulus with high flexibility
  • Excellent toughness and resilience
  • Outstanding resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue
  • Good resistance to oils, fuels and industrial chemicals
  • Contains discoloring stabilizer (not suited for light-colored parts)
  • Light-stabilized grade for enhanced durability
  • Plasticizer-free with long-term property retention

Processing Form:

  • Injection Molding
  • Film Extrusion
  • Extrusion
  • Sheet Extrusion
  • Other Extrusion
  • Casting
  • Thermoforming

Processing Notes:
Drying is recommended at 100°C for 2–3 hours to reach a processing moisture content below 0.08%. Hytrel TPC-ET G4074 has an optimal melt temperature of 200°C and a mold temperature of 40°C. For extrusion, drying at 80°C for 2–3 hours with a moisture content below 0.06% is recommended, with an optimal melt temperature of 185–200°C. Hytrel is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Please refer to the molding and extrusion guidelines for further details.
